I recently visited the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville, TN and saw the Italian style exhibition. It showed the chronicles of the birth and growth of the Italian fashion industry from the post-World War II recovery years to the present day. Based on new archival research, this lovely exhibition explores the development of both womens and menswear and they go into great detail about well-known designers and the techniques, materials, and expertise for which Italy is known for.
